Grounded in Intention for 2025
It's hard to believe that we're already in the third week of January! Time seems to be going by so fast. This has led me to write this blog post about how to start and end your day intentionally.
Life moves fast, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed by what you haven't accomplished. One way to combat this is to be intentional about how you start and end your day. For me, this means starting my day with prayer and Bible study, and ending it the same way.
I have found that getting up early to pray and study the Bible has become a peaceful equalizer to my mornings. It sets my day up so that I can gracefully face the challenges that come my way. Ending the day with prayer and Bible study is like putting a spiritual bookend on the day.
Here are some ways to start your day with a more grounding process: Wake up a half hour early and whip out a journal to write down your thoughts and prayers. Listen to soothing music to quiet your mind, and avoid social media, which can throw off your mental equilibrium. Finally, listen to positive affirmations, sermons, or podcasts to center your thoughts in a more positive direction. These small steps will build up into a solid foundation that will center you with peace and hope to face the day.
Happy New Year! I'm looking forward to sharing more of my thoughts with you in my next blog post. In the meantime, I'd love to hear how you are intentional about your days. Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below so we can all learn and grow together!
